If you are using the youtube_browser modification, any tubes you add with this utility which have other site addresses edited into the existing tube will setup an automatic linkback. Linkbacks are great for SEO.

I one clicked about 75 clips from h0ckeyf!ghts.com and every single one sent a notification to me of a linkback. That site uploads all of their media to youtube and hotlinks them to their site. In their tag description they note their site name.

Click on "Statistics & Data" under links you will find "Experiencefestival.com" = my site - as linking to the page. It only says "Clicks = 1" even if the video has more clicks on the website. The reason , I believe, is that it takes a few days before YouTube has updated the incoming links. For other videos I have had on the site for a year or so the number of clicks are between 200-300.

But sure, you get incoming links. In my Google Sitemap, Google is listing all incoming links from YouTube, so it must give something. And as YouTube is owned by Google, it should be a site they trust in their rankings...
