Question on Comments and forum ID - vBTube.com

So when I was adding stuff in to test --

I checked new posts and I saw all the posts about videos being added and comments being made --

we made that forum 51 and 0 so it wouldn't show in the main forum page - so I turned comments off and then deleted the forum ...

But since that I noticed now you can comment space under the video picture and nothing now shows up in recent comments.

Also when i go to someones comments and click moderate - I get your not allowed ... blah blah page you don't have rites or contact the admin.

So do I always need a comments forum and if so how do i keep the posts from showing up in the new post search.

if so do I need to do the steps we did today in chat again to get back that functionality

Yes a Forum is required because all comments are there saved. If you delete the thread what vbtubepro has created then a Video has no comment forum id and you get the no permission page. delete this Video and add the next videos with correct settings as it says in the instructions.

never mind - I did some re-work on the forum and I set up a video only forum ( for Comments ) its working great .. will let you know if anything else pops up.

Great Support by the way your help was great today and quick responses helped in getting it released.

You can disable each Forum from search.

Go to the Forum Settings admincp/Forum and Moderators

So It was brought to my attention from a Mod who is putting up some of our videos

When you added a comment in under the video and use a

which is a board smiley it shows up in the Comments under the video fine but if you go to the Forum that holds the comments the smiley doesn't show up just the code for the smiley

so I posted in the forum right under the bad post with the link , and used the same smiley and it resolved the smiley no problem.
