Default Video Not Found or Access Denied

Just installed latest VBtube (licensed) got it all setup, etc., uploaded first .wmv file and it APPEARED to upload fine, however, when I went to play it I got this message:

"Video not found or access denied" with the URL to my /vbtube/uploads/flv/file.name

I checked and ensure that all folders are chmod 777, and when I looked in that folder there actually was NO video file in there.

I'm logged in as an admin on the site and have set/checked permissions to the forum, etc., etc.

Again, NO errors during the actual upload of the video!

    Exact forum URL: http://www.strengthguild.com/forum

    Any ideas???

No ffmpeg. Don't have control over Safe Mode... easy way to check that?

Scratch that. Just verified via PHP info that Safe Mode is OFF. No ffmpeg though - don't know about ffmpeg to be honest. What do I need to do with it?

You need ffmpeg if you want to upload video files from your computer on your server. ffmpeg is converting it to the needed .flv format. The player only can play .mp4 and .flv files.

+ ffmpeg is creating a thumbnail.

I am now working on the next version of vbtube, wich is allowing uploading .flv files directly and creating one standard thumbnail.

S7v7n, what do mean next version that will flv files directly. Before I upgraded, I was able to do this already. What changed.

Well that would've been nice to know earlier in the process, I don't recall seeing that anywhere in the pre-sales stuff.

Is there any way to install FFMPEG if you don't have shell access??

Buy Now vBTubePRO - vBulletin Videos, Photos and Images Media Center

at the top / requirements upload

If you add videos from sites like youtube, you dont need ffmpeg.
ffmpeg is only for uploading files...

You have to contact your host about ffmpeg installation...
All scripts wich are allowing uploading video files need ffmpeg.

    FFMPEG (Optional mPlayer-mEncoder)

OPTIONAL being the keyword. How is anyone supposed to know that this means "you need FFMPEG in order to upload your own videos"?? We're not all experts at this stuff - which is why we're buying your software in the first place!

If I were to put mp4 or flv files somewhere on my site could I use the player to play them? "embed" maybe? I need options, at least till you release your new version (hopefully soon), as I won't be able to install ffmpeg. Any help would be appreciated.
