Thread: Attach video to post

Good afternoon,

We would like to set up a forum which will allow users to 'attach' a video when creating a post/thread. This would then auto upload/convert and embed the player in the users post.

From my research it sounds like vbtube does this, but I would just like to confirm

vBTube creates the thread in your forum when adding a video, photo or mp3 on vBTube. Reversed its not possible.
Creating a thread and attaching a video does not work with vBTube, sorry.

Thanks s7v7n, that should be fine. Just looking into hosting options now, from what I have searched on the forum, VPS seems to be the way to go?

Usually vps servers are good for vbtube, but you should ask your host about ffmpeg.
Sometimes they do not allow installing server software.

Requirements for file uploads:
1. Safe Mode Off (php exec enabled)
2. Permission to install FFMPEG. Sometimes it is installed as default. Pls ask your host.
3. PHP Max Execution Time minimum 900
4. PHP Max Post Size minimum 20M
5. mod_security Off
6. allow_url_fopen On (Only if you use the Browser and Load Info for external Videos)
