Thread: Asking about youtube API

all that time I was searching in your open forums here and trying to make clear vision and to get the decision to buy your mod or not.

as I asked you before about the comments, you said it is not searchable, but as I read here in your forum, there is a forum id in options to post comment, so I really confused, because if the comments stored as posts it must be able to search, so pleas explain to me every thing about comment in your mod because it is the main point to me at this time.

another point, I read a lot of post talking about BBCODE to embed uploaded/YouTube videos in posts, and you say in one of them (before more than one year) that you will add this option in next release, but your Demo site not included this feature, so did you implement it or not yet?

BTW, I have some ideas I wish you add them to your list and make them as soon as possible (maybe deal with them as paid private project to me) ..
1- I want to use bbcode to add videos to article (CMS articles), and if the video before the page break the system will display the thumbnail of the video as thumbnail of the article.
2- I want to make different usergroup permission to every category, in this time I can use moderation to make sure not every one can post videos in special categories, but the best solution will be controlling who can add videos in every category.
3- adding advertising plugin (add advertising video before the clip start) to this mod.

It is searchable but only if you use the comments mixed up in your forum and the search results will only show a thread not a direct link to that video. The link to that video is in the thread.

Using vBTube without a forumid will not create a thread when adding a new video in your forum, so its not searchable through vbulletin search.

1. Yes i wanted to put the bbcode in a early version, but then i decided and i think its better to use videos only in vbtube and not mixed in forums.
2. vBTube has no category permissions settings. So you only can set for each group "Can add Video, photo, audio?". If a group has permissions to add videos, he can add it to all categories.
3. This is not available but defenitely planned.

I second that

S7v7n if members would look over at vbulletin.org, they could find ways to code conditionals for certain categories.

I will go look but we should not have to going searching

I would like to see user-group permission for categories built into vbtube.
I would use this for my very own...how to videos for my niche market.
