Thread: Asking about youtube API

Hi

I found your site during searching the net for YouTube API, so I want to ask if there is ability to program it to display videos (as playlist and player just like u have in media home page) but videos graped directly from YouTube not must added to your script first, and they must graped from predefined channel and playlist in that channel exactly.

is it possible? and if it is, is it possible to program it as widget for vbcms?

no until now, I actually have a channel contain some of playlists to sort purpose, so I need to grap only one of them using API, but I need this to be done automatically, because the playlist have been growing every day, and I can't just export a list every day and add it to script or something like this.

another Q, I read in product details, this script give a flash player running with uploading videos to local server + YouTube videos !!
so can I use these videos in CMS and forum? I mean display them in that flash player with logos, or it just shown in the product page? and if it is ok with CMS, what thumbnail can we get in the section page if the article has YouTube video (without your product we get YouTube in small size as thumbnail)?

What about supporting Arabic language characters?

Can I disable uploading pictures and mp3's? and make it for videos only?
If all that available it will be really great, and in this case I want to ask about widgets available to this great product, and what about making widget just like the block appear here Media - vBulletin4-Demo under title of "MyTitle"? and is it able to display videos from predefined category only? and in this case are there permission to add videos to every category?

To be clear I want to use your product to deal and manage videos in my site, not only to make a video section and gallery.

So I will asked again because I felt that I didn't make my question clear (because lake of language of me )
I have a news site using vBCMS, and want two main things, the first one is adding videos to articles in CMS and to threads of forum too, and want this to be done but your product because I want to display thumbnails in section pages of CMS not just like what we have now in vB where we get small size of video player from YouTube for example, so users now can play video in that small size and it is very ugly, so I want to just display thumbnail in section page and in article page I want to display the full video, and surly I don't want to use embed code because it is not work correctly in articles and it doesn't able to have thumbnail,and in your demo site I couldn't see articles contains videos to make sure .

Its not coded but it is possible of course.

There are only widgets available to display videos in your cms and your forum sidebar/topbar.
No further connection to cms articles and forum threads.
vBTube creates a thread when adding a video with a link to the vBTube page to watch the video.

It is possible to display from specific categories, but categories are open for all users who have video add permissions.

Of course your users can add comments without facebook account. fb comment is just a additional feature.
But they are not searchable through vBulletin Search.
